Rosé from the K-pop group Blackpink recently released her solo album Rosie, along with its viral title track Apt., which is a collaboration with Bruno Mars.

The music video for the track achieved 900 million YouTube views on 19 January, which makes it the fastest MV in K-pop to have hit that number.

The original release for the song was 18 October which means it took approximately 92 days for it to make history.

The record was previously held by Korean icon Psy, whose Gangnam Style music video achieved the feat in 144 days back in 2012.

Apt. has also become the fifth overall music video to have hit 900 million, coming after Hello by Adele, Shape of You by Ed Sheeran, Despacito by Luis Fonsi featuring Daddy Yankee as well as Mi Gente by J Balvin and Willy William.

Rosé recently went through a lie detector test for Vanity Fair, where she addressed rumors of her dating American actor Will Smith’s son, Jaden Smith.

The pair have been attracting speculation due to his longtime friendship with Blackpink, Rosé in particular. With the release of her latest album, fans began to wonder if the song Toxic Till The End was about Jaden.

She firmly denied that he’s the inspiration behind the song, and also denied ever having dated him. The idol went on to give him a shout-out and stated that she missed him.
