KARACHI: A blast in a moving rickshaw left at least five people injured here on Abul Hassan Asfahani Road, Geo News reported Thursday.
Superintendent of Police (East) said a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder leakage caused the blast.
The rickshaw burst into flames after the blast. Reportedly the ball of fire the gas cylinder explosion let loose also set a passing by car on fire. The people on board the car and rickshaw also burn injuries.
Rescue sources told Geo News the injured, have been ambulanced to the hospital.
It is pertinent to mention that the incident came to pass in front of A-One Apartments near Iqra City on Abul Asfahani Road.
A number of automobile workshops are located in the area and some of the injured were the minor helpers of motor mechanics.
