BULAWAYO, Zimbabwe: Zimbabwe will need to succeed in the second Twenty20 international where Bangladesh failed in the first after they were set 169 to win at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on Sunday.
Bangladesh went down by six runs on Saturday when they were asked to chase 169, and will have the chance to defend that total after posting 168 for seven in the final match of their tour.
Shakib Al Hasan was again at the heart of the Bangladeshi innings after the tourists won the toss and opted to bat, following up his 65 on Saturday with 40 from 28 balls on Sunday.
Shakib shared in an 82-run stand for the second wicket with Tamim Iqbal, who finally found some form in scoring 43 from 30 deliveries.
However Bangladesh were unable to build on the strong foundation provided by the pair, as they went from 86 for one in the ninth over to a par score.
Off spinner Prosper Utseya was the pick of the bowlers for Zimbabwe, opening from the City End and finishing with figures of 2 for 15 from his four overs. (AFP)
