PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have arrested 828 criminals wanted in connections with different crimes in the ongoing campaign against the outlaws in the province, said a press issued here on Tuesday.
On the directives of provincial Police chief Ihsan Ghani, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police had launched a special campaign against the criminals, which is going on in full swing. In the latest action the police have netted 828 more criminals included 607 proclaimed offenders, 182 anti-social elements and 39 others. The arms and ammunition recovered included 37 Kalashnikov, 22 Kalakove, 126 Rifles/Short Guns, 377 Pistols, 38 Chargers, 12646 cartridges of different bores.
Furthermore, the police have also exhibited good performance in campaign against narcotics and succeeded in recovery of 8 kg charas, 1 kg heroin and 212 bottles of liquor.
On traffic violations 3256 vehicles were rounded up and deposited a hand some amount in the national exchequer. (APP)
