ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested 13 persons from various areas of the city and recovered 2.2 kilogram hashish, four cellphones, four pistols and gold ornaments from their possession, a police spokesman said on Tuesday.
According to details, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Aashiq from Tarnol police station arrested a drug peddler Safi-Ullah and recovered 2.2 kilogram hashish from him. ASI Muhammad Ramzan from Ramna police station arrested a bootlegger Nasir Mehmood and recovered two wine bottles from him.
Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ali from CIA police arrested three dacoits Shamrez, Mushtaq, Shakeel and recovered two snatched mobile phones as well as gold ornament from their possession. Sub-Inspector Zulfiqar Ahmed from CIA police arrested Younus for having 30 bore pistol.
ASI Muhammad Iqbal from Shehzad Town police arrested a thief Maqsood and recovered two stolen mobiles phone from him. ASI Muhammad Ishaq from Sabzi Mandi police arrested Abdul Ghaffar and Nawaz in possession of 30 bore pistol each.
ASI Aurangzeb from Sihala police station arrested Sajjad Ahmed and recovered one 32-bore revolver from him. Meanwhile, ASIs Furrakh Habib and Zahid Hussain from Sihala police nabbed Abdul Shakoor, Ramzan and Tauqeer Ahmed involved in selling petroleum products without legal permission.
Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. (APP)
