Prince Harry, Meghan Markle ‘not surprised' by William's plan to strip their titles

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly not surprised by Prince William’s plans of stripping them of their royal titles.

Amid rumours that the Prince of Wales wants Harry and Meghan to stop using their “Royal Highness” titles, sources have revealed the Duke and Duchess’ reaction, as reported by InTouch weekly.

The source stated, “Harry and Meghan have heard the grumblings and aren’t surprised.”

“They try to rise above all the negative comments but it’s hurtful, especially for Harry. But Meghan, still using HRH since stepping away from all royal duties, and moving to California, isn’t doing herself any favors. It’s alienated her even more from the royal family and the people of England,” they added.

It is worth mentioning that this comes amid reports suggesting that when William will become King he will remove the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s royal titles.

Notably, another source claimed to the outlet that Harry and Meghan will not be losing their royal titles “anytime soon” suggesting that “it would cause an uproar and that’s the last thing the monarchy needs right now.”

“Of course, King Charles has thought about it too, but he has too much to worry about. He has a lot on his plate with his recovery amid his cancer battle and this just isn’t on his agenda,” the source adds.

Insider suggests that taking away only Meghan Markle’s title “wouldn’t be as bad” but the scrutiny of King Charles stripping his son Prince Harry of his title “would be intense.”

Therefore, “there’s no way it will happen under his watch,” the only possibility of it happening is when Prince William becomes the King.
