Why Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz skipped 2025 Met Gala

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz pulled out of attending the Met Gala for his father David Beckham.

It's being reported that the couple prioritised flying to the UK for the retired footballer's 50th birthday over attending fashion's biggest night in New York held Monday.

However, Brooklyn, 26, also ended up not attending his father's milestone birthday despite being in town as he felt his wife Nicola, 30, was being blamed for the rift in the family.

"They cancelled plans to attend the Met because they really intended to be at David's party on Saturday. But Brooklyn is really upset that blame for the rift has been levelled at Nicola," a source told The Sun.

"She has never told him what to do and has been nothing but supportive — she's a loyal wife," the insider continued.

Brooklyn and Nicola also showed no care to pay David any tribute online despite acknowledging other personal milestones, including their third wedding anniversary as well as a farewell for Nicola's late grandmothers.

It was previously claimed by TMZ's source that Brooklyn and Nicola had asked to keep the celebration private to avoid Romeo's girlfriend Kim Turnball, who they are mainly clashing over due to their disapproval of her.

However, the claims proved false as the married couple could have attended the family party in the Cotswolds last Wednesday as Romeo's girlfriend did not even attend the event.

Brooklyn also missed out on David's early celebrations in Miami last month as well as parties in the Cotswolds, France, and London this week.
