Real reason why Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, skipped the 2025 Met Gala has been revealed.

On Monday, an insider spilled to TMZ that the couple did receive an invitation to the star-studded night, but they had to decline due to their work schedules.

Following the end of the Eras tour and NFL season, Taylor and Travis have been enjoying some downtime.

"They have been traveling nonstop and very much enjoy it," an insider told People magazine in April.

"They are making the most of their time off together. They are hanging out with friends, too. It's a special time for them,” the source added.

The insider also confirmed that the stars are "very serious and in sync. They value the same things. Right now, the focus is very much on private time out of the spotlight."

For those unversed, the pop sensation, who began dating the NFL star in 2023, hasn’t attended the Met Gala since 2016.
