Kelly Clarkson gets honest about romance and dating as a mom

Kelly Clarkson has just gotten honest about her dating life and how she’ll navigate that with kids in toe.

The conversation happened during Clarkson’s appearance on Today with Jenna and Friends, featuring Jenna Bush Hager and guest cohost Matt Rogers.

The mom-of-two who dissolved her marriage to the father of her children Brand Blackstock in 2022 seems to be ready for a new love.

“Yeah, I mean, I hope it does!” she said when asked about her “unicorn moment”.

“I will say, I'm not not looking and I'm not looking. I'm very busy. You get this as a mom. I've got to focus right now. There's a lot of work.” Plus “My kids' schedule I feel like is busier than mine.”

Also “I’m running from my show to baseball practice and I’m trying to be just there. It’s a lot,” she added too while explaining all that she juggles on a day to day.

But “my mom will tell me, 'Look, I was a single mom. I didn’t get to make everything. They’re gonna be fine. You turned out fine',” she admitted.

And keeping her kids front and center she also added, “I am just trying to be there as much for them and we’re a cute little unit.”

“I am trying to adult more. So for Mother’s Day weekend I do have a couple shows, but my kids aren’t coming. So I do get to be an adult with my band having drinks and having adult time.”

Also this is not the first time a conversation about her dating life came up, because back in November when she hosted KOST 103.5, she revealed that her kids are dead set against any romance.

“They constantly bring it up, ‘Please, we don’t want you with anybody else,’” Kelly said. “They’re young, it’s hard to picture their mom with someone else other than their dad.”
