Usher has revealed the one Australian snack he ensures to have backstage while gearing up for his first tour in Australia after over a decade.
The 46-year-old American singer-songwriter and dancer recently showed up on The Project and gushingly talked about the local Australian red liquorice.
While having a conversation with host Rove McManus, Usher said, “There should be loads of this waiting on me when I get there.”
He added, “I have no idea why it's so good and what you do that's so different than American liquorice but it is by far the best liquorice that I have ever tasted in my life.”
The American R&B star went on to note that he always makes sure to have lots of liquorice on his trip to Australia.
“It is a necessity. It is on every single list of rider that I have for anything that I do. It's by far the best liquorice in the world. It's great!” There Goes My Baby crooner admitted.
Singing praises of Australia, he quipped, “It's been maybe 10 years since I've been there. I love, I love Australia. I love the energy, the I love the food, I love the accent, I love all the things about it.”
“When people ask if I decided to retire, where would I retire to? I say Australia,” Usher stated.
For the unversed, the Coming Home crooner will be visiting Australia for his Past Present Future Tour later this year, where he will do eight shows – four at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne and four at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney.
