James Bond is a well-known name, and any actor cast in the franchise considers it an honour. So, Rosamund Pike recalled, the pressure was high on her.

But she didn’t flinch when asked to undress and stand only in her underwear during her audition for the Bond girl role in Die Another Day.

The Golden Globe winner told Harper's Bazaar, “In the Bond audition, I was asked to unzip and drop the dress I was wearing, to just stand there in underwear.”

“And I thought, 'Well, no, I’ll be doing that if I get the part. I won’t be doing that now.' I don’t know what possessed me," she recalled.

Ultimately, the Gone Girl star landed the Miranda Frost role opposite Pierce Brosnan's James Bond.

In other news, there is speculation on who will play the 007 agent in the next Bond film.

An earlier report in The Standard cited Patrick Schwarzenegger as a favourite among the stars considered for the role.

His performance in The White Lotus caught the attention of the franchise's makers.

"Noting is off the table for the new crew at Amazon. He's definitely the talk of the moment and been noticed by them," the source added.

Apart from him, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page, and Idris Elba have been reported as possible favourites for the Bond role.
