Janet Jackson is all set to receive the Icon Award at the 2025 American Music Awards (AMAs).

Along with being bestowed the honor for her "undeniable cultural and global influence," Janet will be performing at the May 26 ceremony.

This would mark her first TV performance in seven years and reacting to this milestone, the 58-year-old musician wrote on her official Instagram account, "Thank you so much, AMAs!! It's an honor. We look forward to being on your stage again. See you in Vegas! (sic)."

The Scream hitmaker, who is the sister of the late icon Michael Jackson, would be following into the footsteps of artists like Lionel Richie and Rihanna.

As for the American Music Awards, it would be held at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Las Vegas and will be hosted by Jennifer Lopez.

With the most nominations stands Kendrick Lamar, who scored nods by the grace of his latest album, GNX, in the categories including Album of the Year and Song of the Year for his Drake diss song Not Like Us.

He will also e competing against sensations like Chappell Roan, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Post Malone, Sabrina Carpenter, and Taylor Swift, on the category of Artist of the Year.
