Scarlett Johansson breaks silence on Justin Baldoni-Blake Lively lawsuit

Scarlett Johansson is vouching for Justin Baldoni and his production company Wayfarer Studios.

The actress was addressing her directorial debut with Eleanor the Great in a recent Vanity Fair interview, where Baldoni's production company Wayfarer Studios was name-dropped.

As Baldoni's name came up, Johansson let out a “loud, knowing laugh” and gushed about her experience filming with them in the fall.

“They were super supportive throughout the process,” she said of Wayfarer in her cover story published Wednesday.

“But yeah, such weird timing,” the Marvel star added, referring to Baldoni’s ongoing legal woes with his It Ends With Us costar Lively who is currently married to Johansson’s first ex-husband, Ryan Reynolds. The Black Widow star was married to the Deadpool actor from 2008 to 2010. She is now married to Colin Jost.

The article also elaborated that Johansson never met Baldoni because he was busy making It Ends With Us, which is at the center of all of his legal issues.

For those unversed, Baldoni is countersuing Lively for defamation after her sexual harassment complaint against him. The pair are expected to face each other in court on March 9, 2026.
