Blake Lively has strongly refuted allegations made by Justin Baldoni's legal team that her side attempted to blackmail Taylor Swift.
According to the latest findings of Film News, Blake’s representatives have labeled all such claims as "inflammatory" after a judge dismissed them.
As fans will be aware, Blake Lively and her costar Justin have been engaged in ongoing legal battles following the fallout of their collaboration on the movie It Ends With Us last year.
In an issued statement, Blake Lively's legal team asserted, "It took the court less than 24 hours to see through Mr. Freedman's irrelevant, improper and inflammatory accusations, strike them, remove them from the court and warn Mr. Freedman that further misconduct may be met with sanctions."
The accusation originated from a letter filed by Baldoni's lawyer, Bryan Freedman, who claimed that an unnamed source close to Taylor Swift informed him that her friend’s lawyers demanded Swift post a supportive message on her social media.
In addition to this, Bryan alleged that Lively's lawyer "requested, on Ms. Lively's behalf, that Taylor Swift make a social media statement in support of Ms. Lively given her absence from the Super Bowl that year, and stated that if Ms. Swift failed to do so, Ms. Lively would release '10 years' of private texts with Ms. Swift."
Nonetheless, the judge overseeing the case between Lively, 37, and Baldoni, 41, rejected Freedman's allegations, deeming them "defamatory."
