Salma Hayek has opened up about a 'closer bond' that she has formed with her longtime friend, Blake Lively, after her friendship with Taylor Swift ‘halted’.

It is pertinent to mention that after being 'dragged' into Lively and Justin Baldoni’s legal battle, Swift has reportedly ended her friendship with the Gossip Girl actress.

In a recent interview with E! News, Hayek candidly talked about her relationship with Lively and her kids.

"I'm close to the kids," the Mexican actress began by saying. "I got a chance to go play with them."

For those unversed, Lively and Ryan Reynolds have been married for more than a decade and the couple shares four children, James, Inez, Betty and Olin.

Revealing the reason behind her meet-up with Lively, the From Dusk Till Dawn actress said, "They got to see the tía Salma."

As per Cambridge Dictionary, tía is a Spanish word which means "aunt, sister of one’s father or mother or the wife of one's uncle."

Sharing that Lively’s kids can speak some of her native language, she concluded, "Especially a little one. They understand Spanish, and they're lovely."

Previously, Hayek shared a picture of her on Instagram, in which she stirred a pot while holding Inez in her arm, and captioned it saying, “When your friends invite you for dinner and you end up doing all the work.”

For those unversed, the 58-year-old actress and 37-year-old actress first met on the set of 2012’s crime movie Savages.
