The Norwegian royal family appeared on the palace balcony in Oslo in a show of unity to mark the country's National Day (Constitution Day) on Saturday.
A picture featuring King Harald V, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Ingrid Alexandra was shared on the family's Instagram account with caption, "From the castle balcony, the Royal Couple and the Crown Prince family greeted the children's train in Oslo."
According to the caption, "More than 26,000 children from 109 schools participated in the children's train in Oslo."
May 17 marks the Constitution Day, a national holiday, which commemorates the signing of the Norwegian Constitution in 1814.
The royal family participates in traditional festivities, including greeting the children's parade from the balcony of the Royal Palace in Oslo.
Earlier in the day , pictures of Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Ingrid Alexandra, and Prince Sverre Magnus were shared separately on Instagram as they gathered outside the palace to witness children's parade.
