WhatsApp is rolling out an interesting feature via its new iOS update to generate AI-powered profile photos and group icons after it was made available to Android users.

The messaging app stated that it made an announcement about an Android update regarding the availability of the feature to general AI-powered profile photos.

This functionality allows users to create unique profile pictures by simply entering a text prompt that describes their desired image, according to WABetaInfo.

Unlike traditional profile photo options, this feature doesn't rely on existing photos but instead generates custom images based on user descriptions, it stated.

The feature will bring new possibilities for personal expression, giving users the chance to create avatars, artistic illustrations, or themed visuals that reflect their personality or mood.

It appears that WhatsApp now intends to offer iOS users the same AI-powered tool as it already does for the Android version, aiming to provide a consistent experience across both platforms.
