Nicole Kidman shared an update on her upcoming sequel of Practical Magic.

In a recent chat with Hollywood Reporter during a press conference at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, the 57-year-old actress talked about the upcoming sequel to the 1998 film, also starring her fellow artist Sandra Bullock.

Sharing her excitement for her “witchy” reunion with Sandra and working director Susanne Bier, Nicole gushed, “Sandra‘s worked with [director Susanne Bier] too, so the two of us were like, ‘Well, this is the perfect triangle because we all know each other so well.’"

The original 1998 film was based on a novel by Alice Hoffman under the same name.

"And so to be able to work together on something that is fun and witchy, that’s fun and it has something very different to say [than the film Babygirl]," she said of the forthcoming fantasy-thriller.

The film is dated to release on September 18, 2026, by Warner Bros.
