LAHORE: The School Education Department (SED) Punjab has categorically denied the authenticity of a notification circulating on social media platforms regarding the dates for summer vacation in public and private schools across the province.

A spokesperson for the SED Punjab clarified on Monday that the widely shared notification, which claims schools will observe summer break from May 22 to August 17, 2025, is entirely fake.

The spokesperson stated that no official decision concerning the schedule for summer vacation has been made by the department at this time, adding that the information being disseminated online is misleading and inaccurate.

The department assured parents, students, and school administrations that an official announcement regarding the summer holidays will be issued through proper channels at the appropriate time.
