Michelle Williams moved to tears remembering late Heath Ledger

Michelle Williams just recalled the late Heath Ledger with heartfelt emotions.

The 44-year-old American actress appeared on the Monday, May 19 episode of the Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard podcast, where the host first reflected on his experience with the late Australian actor.

Dax shared, “I feel obligated to say that I knew him a little bit when he was getting sober, and I don’t know that I’ve ever fallen in love with somebody so quickly.”

He added, “This is one of the most special boys I’ve ever met, and I can feel the weight of the world on him in a very special way that kind of broke my heart. I was very, very sad, and I thought he was just so special.”

Listening to Dax’s remarks, Michelle emotionally responded, “So special, so special, thank god there’s Matilda.”

He went on to describe Heath as “this heart here that’s just leaking out everywhere.”

The Venom actress, who shares her 19-year-old daughter Matilda Ledger with Heath, went on to say, “Yeah, an incredible sensitivity.”

Calling to mind that period, she noted, “We had a baby. But I suppose maybe it's a good thing about being young is that you don't have so much life experience that you can contextualize things. So, you're really just going with the flow.”

For the unversed, Michelle and Heath had their first interaction on the set of the 2004 movie Brokeback Mountain. Soon they began dating and welcomed their daughter, Matilda, in October 2005.

They remained together for three years and eventually parted ways in 2007, but they did not stop coparenting Matilda even after their breakup.

It is pertinent to mention that Heath Ledger succumbed to an accidental drug overdose in January 2008 at the age of 28.
