  • IBO conducted on presence of Indian sponsored terrorists.
  • Weapons and explosives recovered from killed terrorists.
  • Security forces vow to thwart any attempts by Indian proxies.

At least two soldiers embraced martyrdom while 12 terrorists were killed during separate encounters in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Monday.

According to a statement issued by the military’s media wing, nine terrorists belonging to Indian paroxy, “Fitna Al Khwarij” — a term the state uses to refer to the banned TTP — were killed in multiple engagements in KP.

An intelligence based operation (IBO) was conducted by the security forces in Lakki Marwat District on the reported presence of terrorists in the area, read the statement.

During the conduct of operation, Pakistan army troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location and resultantly, five Indian sponsored terrorists were killed.

In a second IBO, conducted in Bannu District, two militants were successfully neutralised by the security forces, the ISPR spokesperson added.

In another incident that occurred in general area Mir Ali, North Waziristan District, terrorists ambushed a security forces convoy. During the encounter, two more terrorists were killed by the security forces, it added.

However, during the intense fire exchange, two brave sons of the soil, Sepoy Farhad Ali Turi, 29, and Lance Naik Sabir Afridi, 32, having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced “shahadat”.

Sanitisation operations were conducted to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area, as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism perpetrated by Indian proxies, and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve, read the statement.

In Balochistan, at least three terrorists belonging to the Baloch Liberation Front (BLF), an Indian proxy, were killed by security forces in two separate engagements, the ISPR added.

According to a statement issued by the military’s media wing, the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in general area Gishkur of Awaran District on reported presence of Indian sponsored terrorists.

"During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location and after an intense fire exchange, Indian sponsored terrorist Younas was killed, while two others got injured," it said.

In another engagement in Turbat City, Kech District, security forces successfully neutralised two "Indian sponsored terrorists", who were identified as terrorist ring leader Sabr Ullah and Amjad aka Bichoo.

"Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the killed Indian sponsored terrorists, who remained actively involved in multiple terrorists activities against the LEAs as well as target killing of innocent civilians," the ISPR said.
