Defense asks Dawn Richard about egg incident in Sean 'Diddy' Combs trial

Dawn Richard has testified in Sean “Diddy” Combs trial and was asked to open up about a 2009 egg incident.

On Monday, May 19, defense attorney Nicole Westmoreland asked Richard to detail that egg incident when Combs tried throwing a frying pan at his Cassie Ventura and then hit her before dragging her up the stairs.

The attorney also gave a reference towards two interviews Richards gave to her lawyers and to the government.

Westmoreland asked why she revealed different versions of the incident but her lawyers insisted that Combs actually hit Ventura with a frying pan. However, government notes mention that Richard shared that Diddy threw eggs at Ventura.

The attorney asked Richard, “Would you agree with me that it’s been hard to keep your story the same in reference to this egg incident?”

“No, I wouldn’t agree with that,” Richard replied, emphasising that she shared what she could remember to the best of her ability.

Notably, Richard stated that Diddy assaulted his ex-girlfriend because of “varied” reasons during government questioning.

She said the reason Diddy assaulted Ventura “could be Cass speaking up for herself. It could be random. … It could be … her having an opinion.”

It is pertinent to mention that Richard revealed the names of other Diddy employees who saw his violent behaviour: his former Bad Boy exec Harve Pierre, assistants Capricorn Clark “Mia,” staffers D-Roc, Roger Bonds, and another reported victim of him who is expected to testify.
