SZA is doing what she can to discourage kids from trying new drugs.

The singer, 35, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share her concerns about kids getting their hands on whippet drugs.

In the post, SZA revealed how she managed to get one fan to throw away his canister in exchange for a photo or video.

“Literally talked a CHILD into throwing away his whippet drugs in exchange for a picture/video at the in n out drive through,” she began the caption, alongside an image of a can of nitrous oxide featuring a strawberry-banana flavour label that appears to be from the brand SuperWhip.

"Sad but if I can stop this s*** for even a second imma try. Once again, these drugs are clearly marketed to CHILDREN. Really need America to do better man."

Prolonged use of nitrous oxide can have disabling neurological issues and conditions, including vitamin B12 deficiency, according to the National Institutes of Health.

A B12 deficiency can “cause physical, neurological, and psychological symptoms, the Cleveland Clinic states.

SZA has raised the matter previously as well, taking to X in September 2024 with a screenshot of search results for its long-term effects.

“Sorry to be old [and] annoying but. Is no one gonna talk about how galaxy gas came out of [nowhere] and is being MASS marketed to black children? The government is doing NOTHING? [Since] when are we selling [whippet] at the store???? Somebody protect the children,” she said in her post at the time.

On the work front, SZA has been co-headlining Grand National Tour with Kendrick Lamar since April 19.

The tour will wrap up on June 18 in Washington DC after making stops in cities including Houston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, and more.
