Miley Cyrus has opened up about why she doesn’t want to do any tours in the future.

During an appearance on The Zane Lowe Show, the seven-time Grammy winner candidly discussed the reason behind ruling out any future tours.

Revealing that she has a very large polyp on her vocal cord, which helped her sing low-pitch songs, she began, "And being 21 and staying up and drinking and smoking and partying after every show does not help. But also in my case, it does not cause it. So my voice always sounded like this."

Explaining that she finds it difficult to perform with it, she continued, "I have this very large polyp on my vocal cord, which has given me a lot of the tone and the texture that has made me who I am, but it's extremely difficult to perform with because it's like running a marathon with ankle weights on.”

The singer further shared that she can’t do tour anymore because she could possibly lose her vocal abilities.

The Hannah Montana star told the host, "My voice is super- unique because of it, but I do have this Reinke's edema and I have this large polyp on my cords."

Before concluding, she said, "I'm not willing to sever it because the chance of waking up from surgery and not sounding like myself is a probability."

For those unversed, Miley Cyrus last tour was Bangerz Tour in 2014, which included 78 shows across three countries and lasted nine months.
