'Grey's Anatomy's Ellen Pompeo on a mission to 'fix' THIS for her pal Angelina Jolie

Ellen Pompeo has reportedly taken on a new off-screen role for her close friend Angelina Jolie.

An insider told Radar Online that the 55-year-old American actress, who is a close friend of Julie in the entertainment world, is on a mission to find her a quality man, as they have been seen spending time together several times over the years.

The insider said, "It completely stuns Ellen that the hottest mama in town doesn't have a boyfriend by now, and she's doing everything in her power to fix that.”

"They bonded after their daughters Vivienne and Stella got close. The girls started things off for them, but it didn't take long for them to really connect. They have a lot of respect for each other and there's no power struggle because they're both powerful and can accept that in each other,” the source added.

"Ellen thinks it’s a terrible waste because Angie's such a raving beauty and incredibly warm and intelligent as well. She doesn't think it's right that she's single and letting all these good years pass her by," the insider claimed.

"Ellen knows a lot of nice guys, younger and older, who work in front of the camera and behind the scenes and at the studios and she's going through her contact list and trying to set Angie up,” the source explained.

For the unversed, Jolie is officially single after her divorce from Brad Pitt. However, she is being romantically linked with singer The Weeknd and ex Jonny Lee Miller.

It is pertinent to mention that the Oscar-winning actress and Pitt began their relationship in 2004.

After years of dating, the couple tied the knot in 2014 but ended up getting divorced in 2016.

Notably, Julie and Pitt, who raised six children together, finalised their divorce in 2024 after a complex and protracted legal battle that started in 2016.
