Princess Diana's brother shares 'very sad' news after King Charles Canada trip

Princess Diana’s brother Charles Spencer has shared a sad news after King Charles concluded his Canada trip, his first as Sovereign.

Palace shared a photo of King Charles and Queen Camilla, boarding a plane for returning to UK from their two-day visit with the monarch’s message.

King Charles message reads, “As my wife and I leave Canada, we wanted to send our most heartfelt thanks to all those who turned out to offer their support on this, my first visit as Sovereign.”

The post adds, “It was the warmest of welcomes - and the fondest of returns to a land and a people we love.

“Until the next time, au revoir, Canada, et avec tous nos remerciements.”

Following King Charles and Queen Camilla’s Canada trip, Prince William and Harry’s uncle shared the sad news on social media.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter handle, Charles Spencer revealed, “Stunned to learn that one of Althorp House’s farmhouses - fortunately, unoccupied at the time - was apparently burnt down by vandals last night.”

He continued, “With thanks to @northantsfire for doing their very best.”

Spencer added, “So very sad that anyone would think this a fun thing to do.”

Princess Diana’s brother also shared the disappointing news on Instagram.
