Ashly Burch voices Tiny Tina in Borderland games. But the actress expressed her surprise when she saw her character on the big screen.

In a chat with Ginx TV, she said watching the film "was really surreal. Like, such a surreal experience."

The star continued, “There have obviously been game adaptations before, but I just never considered the possibility that something that I was in with a character that I voiced would ever be adapted."

"So it was strange when I saw the movie - it took me a solid 20 to 30 minutes to just settle into the fact that it was a movie."

Expanding on feeling "weird," Ashly said her brother, Anthony, was the lead writer on Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel

"Hearing the names [...] 'that's a character my brother created, that's a character my brother created' [...] it was weird. An out-of-body experience," she said.

Nonetheless, the 34-year-old praised Borderlands film, saying it was "cool" because "we made something that was meaningful enough and resonant enough and people loved enough that it got made into something else. But it was, at first, just such a weird fever dream."

Borderlands was released last year.
