Leighton Meester gets honest about secret wedding to husband Adam Brody

Leighton Meester got candid about her secret wedding to her husband Adam Brody.

In a recent chat with Bustle published on May 28, the Gossip Girl alum revealed that she never wished for a big wedding.

Meester revealed that initially, she did not even want to have a wedding ceremony as she was tired of having a feeling of production or did not want to feel like a spectacle.

"On sets and in life, I’ve been able to wear a fancy dress and hit a mark and say lines, and I didn’t want it to feel like that," Meester told the outlet.

"I wanted it to feel intimate and private," she added.

Her desire to walk the aisle in a private wedding ceremony came true in early 2014.

An insider revealed to People at the time of their intimate ceremony, "She's very happy. She has a lovely ring. She likes [it] a lot."

Even after 11 years of marriage, the couple has mostly kept their wedding details under wraps.

It is pertinent to mention that Meester and Brody welcomed their first child, daughter Arlo in 2015 and a son in 2020. The name of their son is not revealed yet by the couple.
