Sophie Winkleman shared sweet insights into her relationship with King Charles, calling him her “very dear friend.”

Speaking with Tatler Magazine, Sophie, wife of Lord Frederick Windsor, the son of Queen Elizabeth's cousin Prince Michael of Kent, revealed that the monarch works harder than most people realize.

The Two and a Half Men actress also shared that the King works all day, eats a quick dinner, and then stays up writing letters until 4 a.m.

King Charles "is a very dear friend,” she said, adding, “I spend a bit of time with him."

"You see how he works all day long, has a quick supper and then disappears until about 4 a.m. to write letters,” she added. He cares about so many things, and he comes up with brilliant solutions."

On her bond with the members of the Royal family, Sophie noted, "That’s a really daft thing to say, but behind the camera, they’re really fun, clever, kind people."

She added that while she loves Prince William and Kate Middleton, she doesn’t see them often since they moved out of London.

"They're so busy and don't live in London, so I don't see them much,” she said of the Prince and Princess of Wales.
