A video circulating on social media claims that senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Barrister Gohar Khan recently revealed that jailed former prime minister Imran Khan had been injured after an attack by another prisoner in the Central Jail in Rawalpindi, Punjab.
This claim is baseless.

On May 24, a user on X (formerly Twitter) shared a 20-second video with the Urdu caption: “Imran Khan [former prime minister] has been attacked by a prisoner in Adiala Jail. Imran Khan’s face has been injured by blades.”
In the video, Barrister Gohar Khan appears to be speaking to the media, allegedly stating that Imran Khan’s condition is stable but that he has a deep wound on his cheek.
The post has garnered over 268,000 views, 470 reposts, and 1,400 likes.
The claim has also spread on Facebook and TikTok.
Fact
The video of Barrister Gohar Khan is not recent, nor is it about Imran Khan.
It is from May 21, 2024, when Gohar Khan spoke to the media about an attack on another PTI leader, Raoof Hasan. Hasan was assaulted in the parking area of a private TV channel’s office in Islamabad and sustained a blade wound on his face.

Geo Fact Check reviewed the full nine-minute press conference and found no mention of any attack on Imran Khan.
