Dolly Parton reveals she will meet Queen Camilla, expresses desire to have tea with Kate

Dolly Parton has revealed that she is due to visit England in October where she would likely meet and have tea with Queen Camilla, the wife of King Charles.

She made the revelation during an interview with Huffington Post while she was being asked whether she would collaborate with fellow cooking enthusiast Meghan Markle.

When a potential guest spot on the Duchess of Sussex's Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, was mentioned, the singer replied, "Well, never say never. You never know where you’re gonna go."

It was when she disclosed, "In fact, I’m going to go to England in October, and I’m going to actually, hopefully, get to have tea with The Queen." 

According to reports, the singer share with Queen Camilla an interest in children's literacy. 

It's pertinent to mention here that Dolly Parton had turned down an offer to have tea with Kate Middleton, the wife of Prince William in 2023 due to her "tight  schedule". 

However, the singer is now more than willing to have tea with the future queen and hopes the offer for tea still stands.

 "I don’t know if that offer still stands, but if she wants me and I’m there, I’ll be right there with tea bag in hand,” said the singer.

She said she is willing to host to host Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis along with their children at Dollywood if she doesn't get the opportunity to have tea with Princess Catherine during her upcoming visit to the UK. 

Parton said, "They’re all invited. We would love to have them at Dollywood, and if they decide their schedule ever permits that, well, then we will go all out to try to make it a royal treat for them."
