Angelina Jolie is set to turn 50 soon!

As Jolie will celebrate her 50th birthday on June 4, insiders have told People Magazine that the Oscar winner is embracing aging.

The source said, “[Jolie] appreciates getting older because she lost her mom young.”

Jolie lost her mother Marcheline Bertrand at the age of 56 in 2007. Marcheline died after battling ovarian cancer.

Notably, the source added that Jolie is set to return to her foundation work.

The actress, who shares six children with her ex-husband Brad Pitt, founded the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation in 2023, named for her eldest son.

The foundation provides support to the community living in poverty in Cambodia.

“Her focus is returning to her foundation work as her family needs her less,” the source shared about her plans.

It is worth mentioning that this comes after Jolie, who dedicated almost 20 years of her life to philanthropic work, stunned the Cannes audience with her speech.

Using Cannes spotlight, Jolie called out for global injustice, saying, “I think of films like My Father Shadow, which is premiering here at Cannes. Anything possible to make international cinema more accessible is necessary and welcome.”

“And none of us are naive. We know that many artists around the world lack the freedom and security to tell their stories. And many have lost their lives, like Fatima Hassouna, killed in Gaza, Shaden Gardood killed in Sudan, and Victoria Amelina killed in Ukraine, and so many other extraordinary artists who should be with us now,” Angelina Jolie added.
