Jackie Chan has just now dished his father’s secret.
In a latest retrospective with People, the Hong Kong actor candidly recalled a moment when he discovered a truth about his father, Charles Chan.
He began by saying, "One day, I was driving a car, my father suddenly said, 'Son, I'm old. I might sleep and never wake up. I have a secret to tell you."
"My father was a spy,” Jackie told the outlet while admitting that he was very shocked at that time and he was unable to listen any detail about his father’s past.
“Then, later on, five hours later, I said, okay. Now I'm ready,” The Karate Kid actor noted.
In the 2013 movie, Traces of the Dragon: Jackie Chan and His Lost Family, based on Jackie’s past, which tells that his father was a spy in Chineses Civil war in 1940 and his mother smuggled opium.
Meanwhile, he admitted that when he was child his parents couldn't control him so they sent him to a martial art school.
“[As a child, I was] very naughty. Very naughty, I never go to school. All the books in my backpack? I always throw them away,” the 71-year-old actor added.
Before concluding, Jackie Chan shared that his mom 'never watched' his whole movies. As soon as he was "doing a stunt, she'd turn around."
