Sora Wong, who was born with coloboma and microphthalmia, which left her with limited sight, made her acting debut in Bring Her Back.
Speaking with People Magazine, Sora made the surprising revelation that she had no prior acting experience.
She said, "I had zero experience in acting." The actress' mother came across a casting call for a visually impaired girl on Facebook.
Sora revealed her reaction to being selected for the role in Bring Her Back, saying, "So when I got the news back that I managed to pull this role, I was really ecstatic and thrilled."
In the film, Sora played the role of Piper, a blind girl. "One of the main reasons why I was drawn and really determined to try and achieve this character was because I related to her in so many ways," Sora said.
She added, "And I thought it was really important and amazing that I got to portray someone who I could relate with."
Additionally, Sora also talked about Sally Hawkins, who plays Laura, a foster mom, in the film.
"She's so sweet offscreen. But definitely when we're getting into more intense scenes while you're in the moment, she can be sort of terrifying. And then after they call 'cut,' she goes back to being Sally and I'm like, Wow.'" Sora Wong said.
