Meghan Markle friend left humiliated at royal event

Meghan Markle had a surprising reaction when her former friend and business partner warned her about marrying Prince Harry.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex tied the knot in 2018 and now share two children together: Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Now, Tom Bower, author of Revenge, has made some shocking revelations about Harry and Meghan's first Scotland trip.

During the walkabout in Edinburgh Meghan reportedly gave "unroyal high-fives" and wore "inappropriate clothes."

Tom wrote, "Instead of keeping her distance she autographed a book, agreed to selfies and, with Harry's encouragement, allowed the public to hug her."

The royal author recalled the incident when Gina Nelthorpe-Cowne, who was Meghan's former business advisor, faced embarrassment.

He revealed that Gina was among guests visiting homeless shelters and she was told to stand with Meghan. However, when Harry and Meghan arrived the former friend of the Duchess was guided towards the duke’s group.

Notably, when Gina asked Harry about the situation, she claims that the youngest son of King Charles did not respond to her.

Tom wrote, "In disbelief, she [Gina] walked towards Meghan. With obvious embarrassment, a Palace official "body-blocked" her."

It is worth mentioning that this comes after Gina previously told the Mail On Sunday in 2020 the reason for her fallout with Meghan Markle.

She recalled doubting whether "Meghan would be able to sustain the unrelenting pressure of being Harry's girlfriend, let alone – wonder of wonders – his wife."

Sharing about the time when Meghan wanted Harry to propose her, Gina said, "I distinctly remember explaining as we sipped wine in London's West End that she must cope with the enormous expectations of the British public, the Royal Family and their courtiers."

"Her reaction was to hold up her hand and silence me," Gina recalled of Meghan Markle's reaction. "'Save it,' she said, in a steely manner I had not noticed before. 'I don't wanna hear it... this is a positive time in my life.'"

"At that moment I felt uncomfortable in her company for the first time. It wasn't as if we hadn't shared secrets before, but this time it was different," Gina revealed at the time.

It is worth mentioning that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the royal family almost two years after their marriage.
