Brooke Shields rings in milestone 60th birthday

Brooke Shields has entered her sixties.

The model and actress, who first came to the limelight as a child star aged 11, celebrated her 60th birthday on Saturday.

Sheilds got a sweet tribute from her oldest daughter Rowan Francis, 21, on the occasion.

"Happy birthday to my role model, partner in crime, and best friend. Thank you for always being my rock," Rowan, 22, began in a text she added to a red-carpet photo of the mother-daughter duo.

She also added one photo with sister Grier Henchy, 18, and Shields, calling the mom-of-two "everyone's favorite girl boss."

Rowan concluded her social media tributes with a couple of more snaps, including a throwback photo of herself and her mom.

Back in January, Shields revealed that she planned on doing "something special with groups of friends" for her 60th birthday.

"I have friends that I laugh like that with. I have my boozy friends, I have my granola friends,” Shields said onstage at the Flow Space Presents an Evening with Brooke Shields event in New York City. "They each serve a different part of my soul and psyche."

Shields also said she won't rush to wrap up her birthday celebrations this year.

Shields shares two daughters Rowan and Grier with husband and film director Chris Henchy, 61, who she married in 2001.
