King Charles and Queen Camilla’s long-lasting love is still going strong, according to a former staff member who worked with them for over 20 years at Highgrove House.
Speaking to Closer Weekly, the staffer, Stooks, said the King and the Queen are still happy together and enjoy spending time with each other.
Describing their bond as warm and caring, Stooks said the duo act like any normal couple who truly care for one another.
“They are all just a lovely, lovely family,” said Stooks. “For instance, I’ve had a bad back problem. I actually went and saw a specific physiotherapist that he had told me I needed to go and see.”
The publication noted that while Charles is kind to everyone, he holds a special fondness for the gardening team.
“He cares about nature. He cares about the countryside,” the former staffer added.
“It’s a lot of work. Quite taxing,” added Stooks. “He loves all of those old fashioned things. He does them and he does them properly.”
Further speaking on Charles’ bond with Camilla, he noted, “We see them together, and we see them still happy.”
“Camilla still has her family home where her children were [brought] up. Charles has his family home where his children were [brought] up,” he continued.
“They are able to entertain their own children in their own homes.”
He went on to mention that he feels the monarchy is in good hands with ascension of the couple to the throne.
“To meet with them face-to-face and have completely normal conversations is quite an unbelievable feeling,” he shared.
“The longer you [work for them] it just becomes normal. That’s what’s so nice about it. You realize that they are just people who care about other people.”
