Kelly Clarkson's take on romance a second time around: Insider weighs in

Singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson recently had an insider come forward about her desires for love, and taking another chance at romance.

For those unversed, Clarkson was previously married to Brandon Blackstock back in March of 2022. Their lengthy battle ended with her ex getting spousal support, but primary custody of the kids was left with Clarkson.

Now in 2025, the source claims the singer is excited to give it another shot, if the chance arises.

However when starting the source did clarify to Life & Style, “Kelly is not obsessing about finding a boyfriend,” and “she has an extremely full plate so it’s not as though she’s sitting around by herself moping about being single.”

But “That being said, she does admit that she’d love to meet someone special, it’s just a question of how to make it happen.”

Because she “doesn’t want to go on dating sites and she doesn’t want to hire a matchmaker, or slide into other celebrities’ DM’s” as “she’s far too shy to pull something like that off.”

So, “she is quietly hoping that someone famous might try that with her, she’d love to be pursued. She’s joked that she should do her own version of the Bachelorette as a segment on her show to try and find love, but of course she’d never do that.”

“At this point, all she can really do is try and put the word out that she’s dating and hope someone she knows sets her up with a decent guy. She does meet a lot of people herself, so it could also happen organically, she’s certainly hoping it will,” the source concluded by saying.
