Billy Joel just gave the latest update on his health.
Talking to one of his closest friends, Howard Stern, the iconic musician opened up about his health scare.
The Piano Man singer assured his 71-year-old pal that he is “doing fine” two weeks after being diagnosed normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), but it has impacted his “hearing, vision, and balance.”
On The Howard Stern Show by Sirius XM, Stern revealed, “He (Joel) does have issues, but he said, ‘Yeah, you can tell people, I'm not dying.’”
“He wants people to know that,” he added.
Stern revealed that he and Joel had met up for dinner a few weeks ago and shared, “He's got to deal with some medical stuff, but he was delightful.”
He also told his co-host, Robin Quivers that he had a “great conversation” with the Uptown Girl hitmaker and that he “brought out a guitar” as they celebrated Joel's birthday.
Recalling a hilarious moment between the two, Stern confessed he wasn’t able to impress the music icon with his rendition of Happy Birthday, joking that Joel “threw up” after hearing it.
“He didn't seem real impressed,” Stern further added hilariously.
This comes after Billy Joel revealed via his Instagram that the live shows he was recently performing, worsened the symptoms of his brain disorder diagnosis.
“I'm sincerely sorry to disappoint our audience, and thank you for understanding. Billy is thankful for the excellent care he is receiving and is fully committed to prioritizing his health. He is grateful for the support from fans during this time and looks forward to the day when he can once again take the stage,” the statement read at that time.
