Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are facing criticism for releasing a new photo of their daughter, Princess Lilibet, to mark her fourth birthday.
Royal critics are accusing the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with some accusing them of going against their own stance on their kids, Prince Archie and Lilibet’s privacy.
On Lilibet’s fourth birthday, Meghan took to Instagram to drop black-and-white images of Lilibet being held by Meghan and Harry.
In the new post, little Lilibet’s face is only slightly visible as a toddler, while her baby pictures are fully on display.
Speaking on the matter, royal commentator Angela Levin pointed out that the couple had previously said they wanted to keep their children out of the spotlight.
She penned on X (formerly Twitter), "They wanted privacy and to keep their children out of focus.”
“And certainly wouldn't show their daughter's face only slightly hidden by her mother's hair,” she added.
“It's up to them, or just her, but they have broken their own rules."
Meanwhile, Meghan also caused a stir online when she shared a dancing video of herself and Prince Harry while being heavily pregnant with Lilibet just before her birth.
While the comments on the post are disabled, the video was shared by other media publications and fans.
On one of the posts, a critic penned, “Is this the privacy they were asking for?” with another added, “What a fall from grace for Harry.”
“They are trying so hard to be relatable and it all seems so fake,” a third comment with one adding, “Cringe for any Royal.”
However, some fans of Meghan and Harry came to their defence and expressed their love for the couple.
“I love them both for their ability to be real . I just don’t understand why people don’t like them. Diana would be so proud of both of them too,” one penned.
