They spoke to the Daily Mail recently and explained how Kate Middleton’s shift towards less prominent bands speak volumes about her dedication and loyalty to Prince William.

As of right now, there are a few pieces that the princess shifts through during events where her engagement ring is ill suited, namely hospital visits or for more out-door events.

Reportedly, “Kate's choice of rings suggests that she values subtlety and meaning over grandeur, while still maintaining an air of elegance and sophistication.”

Apart from her £300,000 Sapphire ring, a piece left behind by Princess Diana, Kate wears an anniversary gift, a Cartier 'Étincelle' band worth £4,700.

Others include a white diamond band worth £1,000 and a diamond eternity ring worth £1,500.
