The Kensington Palace said Prince William led an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle on Wednesday.
The Prince of Wales honoured actress Anne-Marie Duff, Chanel CEO Leena Nair, Everton F.C. soccer club manager David Hoyes and others during the ceremony.
The Instagram account of the Prince and Princess of Wales shared multiple pictures and videos from the ceremony with a message from the future king.
"Congratulations to all those receiving honours at Windsor today. Your hard work, dedication, and service have truly set you apart. This recognition is a testament to the difference you’ve made. Well done!," said the eldest son of King Charles.
William performed the important royal duty without Kate Middleton ahead of a royal family gathering at Trooping the Colour, the military parade honoring King Charles' birthday on June 14.
William led the ceremony a day after his wife, Kate Middleton, stepped out in London for a "special visit to V&A East Storehouse and a new kind of museum experience."
It was Princess Catherine's first public royal engagement since she returned from a family break.
The Princess of Wales is making a gradual return to royal duties after completing her chemotherapy.
