Patrick Schwarzenegger joins Margaret Qualley for upcoming drama

Patrick Schwarzenegger is joining forces with actress Margaret Qualley for a new romantic drama.

The drama Love of Your Life is being directed by Black Panther cinematographer Rachel Morrison with Ryan Gosling and his producing partner Jessie Henderson on board, Digital Spy reported.

The cast also includes Mufasa: The Lion King's Aaron Pierre. The filming of the Amazon MGM Studios romantic drama is expected to begin this August—with sets across Europe.

Written by Julia Cox, Qualley will play a woman who embarks on a journey to find new meaning in life after losing her husband while Schwarzenegger plays her ex-partner and old friend, per The Hollywood Reporter.

Patrick, son of The Terminator actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, recently broke his silence on the chatter surrounding nepotism after he shot to fame with his role in White Lotus.

"They’re not seeing that I’ve had ten years of acting classes, put on [high] school plays every week, worked on my characters for hours on end or the hundreds of rejected auditions I’ve been on," Patrick said in a recent interview.

"Of course, it’s frustrating and you can get boxed in and you think at that moment, I wish I didn’t have my last name. But that's a small moment."

He then clarified that he was still much grateful for his life and his family.

"I would never trade my life with anyone. I'm very fortunate to have the life and family that I have, the parents I have and the lessons and values they've instilled in me."
