A new Harry Potter show is in the works, and J.K. Rowling, who is part of the making of the series, has shared her reaction to the first two episodes on social media.
Taking to X, the author gushed, “I read the first two episodes of the forthcoming HBO Harry Potter series, and they are SO, SO, SO GOOD!"
The noted writer also clarified that she is not writing the series, "but I’ve worked closely with the extremely talented writers.”
Irrespective of this, Rowling was in a row with pro-transgender movement after she repeatedly expressed her strong views about them.
This, in return, drew ire from some 'Potterheads,' including the lead cast of the franchise film.
But HBO Chairman and CEO Casey Bloys previously reflected on why they took the author on board.
“The decision to be in business with J.K. Rowling is not new for us,” he said on The Town with Matthew Belloni podcast.
“We’ve been in business for 25 years. We already have a show on HBO from her called C.B. Strike that we do with the BBC.”
The executive continued, “It’s pretty clear that those are her personal, political views. She’s entitled to them. Harry Potter is not secretly being infused with anything. If you want to debate her, you can go on Twitter.”
The new Harry Potter series will be out in 2027.
