Emily in Paris' creator gives rare update about season 5 cast

Emily in Paris creator, Darren Star, has just now dished exciting details about season 5.

In an interview with Deadline, the American writer candidly talked about what fans can expect from season 5.

“I think we’ve got a really terrific season coming up,” he began by saying. “We filmed in Rome for the first four weeks, and that was an exciting experience to be there. Now we’re back in Paris, Emily is definitely back in Paris.”

The series follows the adventures of Emily Cooper, a young American girl who moved to Paris, as she navigates her new career, relationship and life in a foreign city.

Meanwhile, Star discussed that main cast member, Camille Razat, who had been a series regular for the first four seasons as Camille, decided not to return for season 5.

Referring to her storyline naturally ending as she decided to leave Paris, he told the outlet, “I think her story kind of had a natural finish, her love life is always complicated.”

The cast returning for season 5 includes Lucien Laviscount, William Abadie, Samuel Arnold, Ashley Park, Bruno Gouery, and Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu.

Addressing the return of Lucas Bravo, who played the ex-beau of Camille, Darren Star concluded, “We have Marcello, Lucas Bravo is going to be back this season, so we have some interesting, surprising developments in terms of her love life.”

Emily in Paris is scheduled to premiere in late 2025.
