Now, being one of Hollywood’s famous names the Girls Trip talent believes women should be more supportive to one another.
"In our 50s, we have to support each other as women. We don't compliment each other enough, and we should,” she stated.
Queen Latifah continued, "We are more confident in our skin now-more comfortable than we were in our 20s, 30s and 40s. No one should think life is 'over' after a certain age.”
“I still have so many things I want to do! This is the greatest time for women to lock in on their own health-and finally put themselves first,” The Equalizer star added.
Queen Latifah has also always been vocal about health and how she struggled in the beginning with her weight.
She previously told PEOPLE magazine, "I went through some of these things as a kid - in the class pictures, I was this big kid for my age, but sensitive on the inside. So people would say things to me and I got my feelings hurt.”
“Luckily, I had parents who would love me and put me back together. But it was tough at times,” the Set It Off actress recalled.
Detailing how she prioritizes good health over appearance and weight, she clarified, "Health is most important to me. It's not about losing weight or gaining weight. When I want to lose weight, or gain weight, I know how to do it in a healthy way.”
"So, if I have to do something that is going to be completely unhealthy for me, then that's not the job for me,” Queen Latifah concluded.
