Fast & Furious fans are reportedly divided over the return of Brian O’Conner in the big finale.
As Vin Diesel recently announced that the late Paul Walker’s character Brian will make a comeback in the franchise’s 11th movie, fans on Reddit had a mixed reaction.
Vin revealed, “The studio said to me, 'Vin, can we please have the finale of Fast & Furious [in] April 2027' I said, 'Under three conditions'.”
“First, is to bring the franchise back to LA! The second thing was to return to the car culture, to the street racing. The third thing was reuniting Dom and Brian O'Conner,” he added.
Fans on the social media reacted with one user stating, “From the production point, story, and even the fans. Paul/Brian is very popular, everyone loved the goodbye in F7, but now enough time has passed to bring him back.”
“I don't mind the character coming back. Characters get recast all the time. I do have an issue with using the actor's likeness after his death without his explicit consent,” another noted.
