Cambridge International Education (CIE) has offered that students who sat any of the three leaked papers in the June 2025 exam series will be allowed to retake them free of charge in November,

The affected papers are AS & A Level Mathematics Paper 12, AS & A Level Mathematics Paper 42, and AS & A Level Computer Science Paper 22. CIE stated that it is sharing further details with students who attempted one or more of these papers.

The board confirmed that results for these syllabuses will be issued as normal. However, it is also offering free syllabus entry resits for the November 2025 exam series to ensure fairness for all affected candidates.

“We have sent a message to all the candidates and their families through schools, and will provide further information following the release of our June 2025 exam series results. The candidates are asked to contact their schools, should they have further questions.”

Last month the CIE confirmed a partial leak of its exam papers as it completed its investigation into a recent leak and sent its report to the Federal Ministry of Education, saying that the investigation found some credible evidence of corruption. The investigation report states that investigations found some credible evidence of malpractice.

According to the report, parts of three exam papers were shared shortly before the exam.

One question was leaked before the A-level mathematics paper 12 exam, parts of two questions were leaked before the AS- and A-level mathematics paper 42 exam, and parts of one question were leaked before the AS- and A-level computer science paper 22.
