Queen Elizabeth II had formed a strong opinion of Meghan Markle ahead of her death.

Her Majesty, who passed away in 2022, did not enjoy the guts of Meghan Markle and hinted her presence in the Royal Family a ‘catastrophe.’

Journalist and royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith writes: "It was out of character for the Queen...but she saw straight through Meghan.

"At the drinks before the dinner, a small group were talking to the Monarch and she explained that Harry meeting Meghan had become a 'complete catastrophe'.

"By this point we all knew the Queen's health was in decline and she had months left, she seemed regretful about how things had panned out,” she wrote.

Prince Harry left the Royal Family back in 2020 alongside wife Meghan Markle and son, Prince Archie. The couple later accused the Royal Family of showcasing racism towards their son and publicly shared their grievances on television. Harry and Meghan now live in California, where they also welcomed their daughter, Princess Lilibet.
