Meghan Markle’s lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan, has been slammed for lacking authenticity as experts say they are not able to resonate with it.

In a latest rant, broadcaster Eamonn Holmes took swipe at the Duchess of Sussex’s series and said that he “can’t relate” to anything in her home.

Speaking on GB News, Holmes questioned whether anyone truly connected with the show, while royal commentator Ellen Coughlan admitted she only watched it for work.

Coughlan described the series as overly curated and “very Instagram-friendly,” which lacks the Kardashian-style grit.

She was asked, "I'm just curious, I’ve never met anybody who's watched or listened to anything they've done. Have you seen Meghan’s lifestyle programme? And if so, tell me about it."

To this, she responded, "I did, yes. I watched it but to be honest, only as part of my job. It’s not something I’d watch out of personal interest, just like I wouldn't choose to watch F1 on Netflix. It’s just not my cup of tea.

"But I did watch it, and I can see why some people liked it, and also why others didn’t. It was heavily curated, very Instagram-friendly, very Martha Stewart," Coughlan continued,

"I think a lot of people were hoping for a more raw, gritty Meghan, with some insight into her real life. More like what we get with the Kardashians, let’s say.

"But we’re not going to get that from Meghan and Harry. They have to curate their image carefully because, as you can tell, everything they put out gets picked apart with a fine-tooth comb."

She was then asked by Holmes if Meghan's content resonates with her, adding, "You mentioned it’s a bit Martha Stewart-like, but does anything in the show make you want to bake cakes or remind you of home?

"Because I’ll be honest there’s nothing in Meghan Markle’s house that I feel I can identify with."

Coughlan responded, "I see what you mean, and yes, it is very Californian, let’s say. I think her target audience is probably stay-at-home mums or people who have time to put flowers in ice cubes.

"That’s obviously not me," she added. "But actually, watching it, I did have a moment of, oh, I want to go back to baking. So there was a little nostalgic spark in there even if it’s not quite my world."
